There is another possibility that I have not seen mentioned. As a board member Tim has to vote his shares in accordance with the boards accept recommendation if it comes to a vote for all shareholders.
What if the plan is at the opportune time Tim resigned from the board and would then be free to vote as he sees fit. In this scenario the ALB takeover would almost certainly fail.
I also believe that if the $3 ALB is taken to vote the majority of shareholders would reject it. Myself and my children would certainly vote NO.
