Yes they can if they want to, another major Australian ASX registered Lithium company has recently entered into an agreement with a U.S. company, it will become one company and the Australian shareholders (I’m one) will hold shares in a specially created local vehicle so they can continue to buy and sell etc and not be liable for CGT due to a change in company structue
