    Well if I'm in your special club, maybe you won't see this, but everyone else should understand the quality of your data here, especially whoever gave you a lightbulb. I already made my point about your self-appointed right to choose an ICE vehicle, and I don't want to argue about climate change with people that choose not to see it, but I do want to highlight your dodgy post.

    Firstly, the document you linked doesn't say anything about temperature, and certainly doesn't include your chart, so while you made it look as if you were quoting an authoritative source, you didn't. The paper is a chemical analysis of ice cores, and it says "Examples of projects with particular reliance on ice core records include reconstructions of climate variability over the last 2000 years by Stenni et al. (2017), synthesis and reconstruction of snow accumulation patterns across Antarctica (Thomas et al., 2017) and global temperature trends (Emile-Geay et al., 2017).". In other words, the ice cores can be used for climate analysis, but this paper doesn't do that.

    Secondly, the chart you posted (did you even look at it?) actually demonstrates a significant rise in temperature which exactly corresponds to the industrial revolution. The timescale is "Before Present (1950), so the steep rise commences around 1850. The dataset seems to end around 1900 at which point the temperature rise, at 0.25C/decade, is the fastest increase ever recorded. Thanks for defeating your own argument.

    Since the dataset stops at 1900, a more recent version would be helpful. Here's the equivalent chart from the IPCC Report 2022 (https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/chapter/summary-for-policymakers/), with 2000 years of data to 2022:

    Perhaps you'd like to share the other "1000s of your own data"?

    @rvajna please take note.
