Look, reckon you've read into more than what was said

1st the tax the hell out of it was more to continue taxing petrol as it is (rather than removing tax as Liberal gov did recently) as ice cars are put cancer causing elements into our air along with other issues

My post was a quick reply to another post this morning that thought needed contending. On the job now, with little time to reply

Yes there is issues recycling, but batteries can be recycled up 98%+ and can imagine recycling will be a bigger part post 2030. But as EV battery tech longevity is so good - there isn't the scale to recycle yet

There actually was a carbon tax introduce in Australia, but was removed when Liberals took over

There is going to be (already happening) a large disruption to how the world operates, it's a given. There'll be less mechanics / more electrical engineers etc. Can complain about this if you like, but those that adapt quicker will be the winners - the way it's always been - are there many horse carriage makers left? The smarter ones made cars and/or car parts. Also add this is all for the better

Regardless what we have to say here on HC this is all happening right before our eyes. Some countries are north of 50% EV penetration

Hope to add another post to tie some of this together, in practical sense

Agree with much of the rest of your post * love to quote some sources, time poor

    All the best
