Of course shorting is a prime factor in stock manipulation. Trying to promote it as a good and decent ASX betting practice on this forum is akin to attempting to sell juicy pork chops in a synagogue. It's just NOT popular with the majority of ordinary retail investors or the listed companies which have to endure the pitfalls of artificially low market caps and lowball take-over offers. Great fun for the few supporters involved in it, but detested by the rest of us and effected firms.
Just what price do you believe LTR (or other heavily shorted critical metals stocks) would be right now today if shorting no longer existed (as several countries are now legislating)?
