    Hmm - i'm not so sure about that.

    It would be easier to argue that Chinese processors were caught flat footed with a sudden increase in built out capacity coming online at the same time. That increase in processing capacity created a kneejerk reaction requiring Lithium to fill it - and with scarce supply at the time that caused prices to moon. Add in a healthy dose of pumping by the media/vested interests too - and SP rockets.

    Do they need to fill that capacity again would be my question?

    It's not like "they" aren't having these exact same discussions - and if they could see a "restocking" demand driven event on the horizon surely "they" would be filling orders early to mitigate price rises...
