    Yes...all of the above. I have thought for some time that when the heavy vehicle semis etc come in, there is only one way that long distance loads will be able to travel. That is likely to be in my opinion by having depots where depleted battery packs can be lifted out with a fork lift or whatever and a charged pack put in. Then the driver is on the way quickly without having to wait maybe over an hour even for a fast charge and having banks of bays for parking while charging as well.

    That sort of process would require multiples of standardised large battery packs to be either "on charge", in storage awaiting installation, or in trucks on the road. It is not hard to imagine having a requirement for say 5 battery packs on average for each prime mover.
