Now I disagree. Cheap EVs are being sold in Europe with lithium-ion batteries. Here you have a good example:

The price for this EV is comparable to cheap ICEs at the same category. If you substitute its battery for one without lithium you will get a heavier vehicle or one with lower range. And you are aware that the biggest concern (other than price) for a EV buyer is range. So tell me, are you forecasting car sellers to reduce prices from this level, in order to convince buyers to own heavier/lower range vehicles?
