The ones that did not sell, were not greedy, they had a different investment strategy and no one expected the spod price to collapse due to the Chinese and big banks manipulation, which is the main reason for the SP drops. Granted that with the withdrawal of the ALB offer the SP was expected to fall back some, but recover quickly. Hindsight is 20/20 vision.
