Tony Ottaviano not that long ago stated that not a day goes by where someone from China is not on the phone approaching LTR in the interest of doing business.

Maintaining a separation with China now will see added value down the track. They know what we have and would like to have it but it's not worth the sacrifices IMO. The only reason Korea missed out on our offtakes was because Ford were so desperate that they pleaded and asked what it would take to secure a deal. Hence the loan with a commitment from Tony to bump up the quantity. With this level of desperation China would be ropable they missed out.

Hard Rock, SC6+, ESG credentials in the best mining jurisdiction on the planet vs African low grade and toxic lepshitolite. Forced to buy time with the latter to control prices is not sustainable at subliminal prices.

China are cashed up when it comes to getting what they want. I'd like to be a fly in the wall listening to the offers presented for a foot in the door.
