You forgot that 50 years ago US manipulated oil market with petro dollar and how many wars and coups they did in the middle east. Then West decided that they can do financial magic by keeping their currency strong and exporting dirty and polluting manufacturing processes overseas. Also they thought they can buy those goods cheaply. Now it is unwinding.
Once British and French had empires without much of their own resources. They used to get it free from their slave countries(colonies). Now world is changing... either fight or die. West was never sleep. Nobody forced them to export all these dirty jobs overseas and Chinese mastered it. All humans wants better lives. Now you're are whining that Chinese are not playing by the rules set by you.
