This all comes down to how long GS and other investment banks can continue to talk their book, plus the CCP need to depress the price of Lithium to enable it to dominate the market for EVs. Go back a century and look at oil. Go back further and look at timber, coal. Prices were talked down to enable higher profits for the traders. Everyone seems to agree that in four years time there will be a worldwide shortage of lithium. So guess who is shorting, and buying up with a long term view. Banks and Sovereign states have one clear advantage over the rest of us, they never die so don’t have to pay their debt.
