I have never ever seen such a bad position for shorters than LTR. They have over cooked themselves (over 200 million shares) with too many shares to cover.
The risk here has switched from retailers to shorts now, with production close and imo a takeover bid soon to follow.
A trading halt would cause mass panic, creating that short squeeze we all know is imminent unless the shorts start covering.
To all the shorters reading this, many of us have shorted before, played the market and do a regular risk assessment on the daily. This stock has now become your worst nightmare given the circumstances. The risk is now in your court and unless you cover shortly you’ll be trying to cover a stock that could easily go beyond
all expectations.
