No matter how great they consider themselves (Biz.com), they have to disclose how they get their data to be considered reliable. If they work like Fastmarkets, based on gossips on the phone, it’s all said.
The best price source is on public auctions. You get the real value for a transaction. And if we are in an oversupplied market as many say, you can be sure that auction prices are the lowest achievable ones: no one will buy at a price over contract prices if there is oversupply.
