A pet peeve of mine, is the uninformed mislabelling investing as gambling.
If a reliable relative or trusted friend appealed for a loan to help get xyz up and running, most would view that as leg up, not a hand out or a bet. NB the emphasis is on reliable and trusted.
Most gamblers are in for the day or night and go home after a day or night session.

...so either I'm not very good at gambling (should have bailed long ago), or I am a part owner in a very special lithium producer.
A very long time ago now TG said;..
"LOCK UP your shares
Ignore the NOISE
and, share HOLDERS will be well rewarded."
I think by "HOLDERS" he meant owners and by "LOCK UP" he meant hold for longer than a day/month/year - ie NOT gambling.
PS after all these years, we well and truly know what the NOISE is and it starts with a capital "L".
