One more important element to anyone's thinking right now is that as the price is under pressure by overall market forces rather than anything directly company related, it may attract takeover suitors to put the slide rule over LTR.

Here are the capital raising prices since DFS...

    • November 2021 - $450m @ $1.65
    • October 2023 - $365m @ $1.80
    • July 2024 - $379m @ $1.80

So I reason that even an opportunistic offer while the share price is currently under pressure would not be proposed at any price under $2.00+, let alone be considered seriously by the BoD at that price. But if a bid is made, it would trigger a scramble for the short sold shares to be repurchased. Any initial offer that was not recommended by the board could be expected to be upped to try to get acceptance. It's not a time that I would even consider reducing my holding.

    regards
    DF
