If you believe all of that and are relying on the vision of the short side then you should sell all your LTR and invest in oil and this new ICE technology that you say some OEM's are working on. What I see is some OEM's trying to extend their current technology as long as they can, Toyota being the main culprit although they are now changing. Ford and GM are still investing in EV megafactories and Mercedes have realised that the profit in EVs is in small cheaper models and not the big Benz's of yesteryear so they have recently changed tack and concentrating on different types of EVs. Porsche have got it right as they are a specialised market and Kia/Hyundai just make good cars. The upcoming new Tesla Y will be a game changer if they get it right and the Chinese are just killing it and make great and cheap EVs. I was in Scandinavia recently and they are everywhere. Anecdotally I have never met one EV owner who hasn't said they didn't love their car and all said they would never go back to an ICE.

The latest information is that EV penetration continues strongly upward with the only two issues against them being price v the ICE (which will soon not be an issue as it isn't in China) and the availability of public charging. This also is being addressed, albeit slower than we would all like. I won't go on except to say yes we must do our own research and my conclusions are that demand will overcome supply in the near future and Tesla, Ford, LG, Ken Brinsden, Rio, Lowrie, LTR itself and many many others also agree. I haven't considered the crap African mines that are closing, even Sinomine that owns one came to us for product. As Ken Brinsden recently said, China's manipulation and control of the price is creating a real imbalance on the supply side which will create an enormous price correction. Enough said, shorters trade on fear not facts. Listen to them at your own peril.
