VMP even uploading things a thousand times, extra special thank you. It's not so much ignorance but the first time this issue came up for me. I have worked in mining but not in lithium, so am not familiar with the processing as much as other metals.
I'm trying to understand our CEO's statement that it may be more economical to produce lower grade. Where does the cost saving come from? Is the processing / refining step simpler? I found the statement he made quite interesting at the Diggers conference, but couldn't quite understand the economic linkage. In my simplistic understanding I had, perhaps wrongly, assumed that the ore in the ground will produce a better grade automatically, and it would be desirable to have the highest possible grade.
If someone could describe what the choices and cost parameters are that have to be considered to determine the most profitable grade to be produced, that would be enlightening.
