I was working at Mt Webber when the takeover talk started. Atlas were losing money trucking the ore, which was fetching around $40/tonne at the time, at around $3/tonne.
MIN put in, what was thought to be the winning takeover bid and that was it for me, no way I was working for that slob.
She paid around 2.6c/share, which was double what they had been trading for. She knew IO would rebound and picked up some great tennements; McPhee Creek, Sangiv Ridge etc.
She didn't steal it, she took a punt and it paid off... massively.
