Ellison of MIN was interviewed last week about their annual report, you can read it in all the papers and online.
He is much closer to the action, and the truth, than anyone here, and he is known as a straight shooter, more so than some actually want.
He thinks lithium will recover in 2027 - 3 years down the track.
From my research, this is also a general widespread industry opinion.
So .... most traders won't hold here now, but will come back in 2+ years, as will many long term investors.
The lithium believers here will need patience, but in the meantime, other battery technologies will catch up, especially sodium batteries, which means we won't see a lithium spike like before, but rather a gradual run-up in 2027 and then a leveling out, but it is unlikely to ever reach previous highs. The next plateau is likely to still be much below the previous hype levels.
Investors need to be patient, objective, and to rationalize their perspectives.
Like all good academic statistical measures, you should cast out the pumpers and the dumpers here, and if you want to know where the future values are more than likely to sit, then go for the median or mean realistic valuers like insiders such as Ellison have put on.
So ..... invest here for sure, but be prepared to deal with realistic market economics, and so invest with an intention to hopefully make some profit from this later in 2027, or more likely, in calendar year 2028.
And that is ok, because it's just how the market plays.
