What would you prescribe as another way? Simply facing the fact the west is beaten is not going to help solve the problem. Also, I don’t personally believe the west is necessarily ‘beaten’, rather it should be acknowledged that the west appears to be more ‘lost’, or ‘stuck’ in a rut and need to push their way out of it to make gains.
Finding another way to compete would be more like it.
