When you want to impose 100% tariffs and STILL have your own products dearer and not as good you are well and truly beaten. Your own actions spell that out.
CEO's of the big companies are also admitting such by joining the Chinese in joint ventures. A partial solution.
Different tech, if it can be found may solve the cost problem.... and others as well.
