As opposed to, say, the ICE car fire that took-out 1,400 vehicles at the Luton Airport on 10 October of last year?
Perhaps you mean California’s Carr Fire (coincidence in that name?), which burned 93,000 hectares, destroyed 1,604 structures, including entire towns, and killed 8 people, including three firefighters? I’m guessing that your SoKo e-Mercedes fire didn’t cause U$1.7 BILLION in damages.
Though larger than most, the Carr Fire was not an anomaly, The Mercury News had an article on 1 August 2019 (when EVs were still an anomaly themselves) noting that in just Butte County alone (a rural district in Northern California), between 2012 and 2018, there were 393 wildfires that were caused by vehicle fires, not ONE of which was noted to be an EV.
Perhaps I’m not the one avoiding the unfortunate truths?
