the writing was on the wall IMO when Sinomine (the owner of its own lithium mine in Africa came to us for spod) that the China supply story was coming to an end soon and so it appears to have started. If CATL with its own refineries and battery plants can't make money from its own mines then no one in China can. China has just caused the second lithium boom by squeezing the West perhaps too much. The BEOT and EV haters either were complicit in it or fell for the BS. The new lithium era will be about quality low impurity high grade spod. African and Chinese lepidolite is about to die and the shorters will be buried with it.
