It is the impurities that cause performance issues in batteries. My understanding is to achieve higher range and longer battery life you need to start with SC6 to get 99.3% superior grade LiOH.H2O. I might be wrong since technologies advance so fast. EV industry came thus far due to innovation and still so far yet to go.
But even with price pushed down it isnt so bad. Because we can drop cut off grade, Crush and sell our waste as grade 5.2% LiOH.
