Question on small trades - Whenever I look at the recent trades many are sub 500. I'm well aware of bots and can guess how they work - but I wondered if this large number of small trades can come from another source.
Does the increase in share apps cause some of these small trades.
Reading on-line it would appear that you can make any size trade which appears to be traded on market straight away. Much as one of my trades would be through my online broker.
Commission rates also work on a percentage rather than the "set fee plus a percentage" type of arrangement. So spending $30 would only cost 15 cents, $60 would be 30 cents etc.
So are the multiple small trades bots or....
