LTR both KV and BD lithium deposits have low iron contentof <0.5% Fe2O3 and mica/silica is LOI(Lost on ignition)
Standard Methods of chemical analysis need three samples for each element to determine mass, %. After heating and cooling process if any of element is not showing measurable %, mass etc then it can call LOI. This mean element mass is so small to mentioned. In this case it won`t be mentioned.
As a chemical engineering I am conducting many complex tests. LOI results can be very bad for gold assays, if gold is showing LOI. It is good for Lithium assays, if you looking for mica/silica/clay.
Loss on ignition (LOI) is one of the most widely used methods for measuring organic sample mass, duration and temperature of ignition and clay/mica/silica.
During the processing of lithium impurities will be removed by acid leaching/extraction methods. Fe and Silica can be removed by acid leaching or heating process as Talison Lithium do. Chemical processing technologies are now available to remove impurities quickly with cost effective way.
LTR is going to provide further metallurgical test results as they mentioned in their working development program in several announcement.
In my pinion LTR lithium deposits are one of the cleanest reserve in the World same as Talison.
