As per your request......Why LTR is High cost
Recovery
DFS based on 78% recovery......
No one gets that recovery....
PLS got 65.9% last quarter.....
Lab testing vs reality 2 different things.....
Just ask almost every producer.....
UG Mining......
You only have to look at the recently released video....
Open pit like PLS and every other producer.....
Totally different to UG deep resource......
Power cost......
Zenith paid for all the capex for gas/diesel gensets, + Renewables.....
Zenith owns it, charges LTR by kwh
Massive cost......
Zenith very profitable company.....
They get reimbursed by charging high prices.....
Interest repayments......
At 8% 500kt pa Interest on $550m is $88 a tonne......
Thats only IF they can ramp up to 500ktpa.....
Freight......
700km road trip to port.......
Then 22,600km to E Coast USA......
Use WOF.....
Needs special tailings dams......
Most use DMS no tailings dams.....
Process uses more power, more reagents....
WOF requires a Ball Mill to grind down to 75 microns....
DMS only needs about 6 mm
Relies on FIFO....
Low cost producers such as Greenbushes don’t do FIFO.....
Even Core has no need for FIFO along with SYA......
Inexperienced staff......
Not one senior manager with prior LIT experience......
This will come back to bite.....
Costly mistakes.....
Can anyone here name 1 employee with past LIT experience???
Only low to medium cost producers will survive
