I also have wondered why there has been no bid or obvious takeover interest in PLS, especially as it's already producing. Perhaps its 6% spod preference, perhaps the Chinese influences or off-takes in place?
But as far as GS and LTR are concerned, I lose absolutely no sleep at night worrying about a sub $3 bid being successful from GS or anyone else at this ate stage of the project. Don't think TG or any of the key holders would be in the slightest bit interested and GS would well and truly know that by now. Might be a chance if $5 or $6 was waved around to distract us all from the coming dividends plus even higher SP's, but cant see it otherwise. Remember TG's statement to ALB about offers being ball parks from realistic value!
LTR remains a cut above the rest for timing and many other important reasons that other posters have mentioned before.
