The ASX is a virtual monopoly and as ISX shareholders have witnessed has almost unimaginable power to wreak havoc on innocent shareholders lives.
That power is based on decades of building strong relationships with the very top government and financial institutions so I'm fairly certain the ASX and its shareholders are not worried one little bit.
Be interesting if the NYSE and it's shareholders were just as confident back in 1971 when they had a virtual monopoly.
Nasdaq came into existence in 1971. Nasdaq was the first digital exchange, starting out as a stock quotation service only. By 1981 they had 37% market share in clearing and settlement. By 1991 they had 46%. There digital platform backends many of the world's bourses .

NSX is trying to bring the worlds first digital ledger platform into existence and disrupt the ASX. They are a powerful monopoly but technically weak. Can NSX pull it off like the Nasdaq did against the NYSE.
Pretty sure the honest market participants would love some competition and it is looking like government is also slowly seeing the light.NSX in the box seat if it gets it right.
ASX has tried everything they can to destroy ISX and
hinder the NSX in doing so. Possible overseas expansion by NSX makes ASX look fallible and the above report confirms they are technically as poor as you can get.
Should ASX shareholders be worried?
ASX mcap $15bill approx and going nowhere.
NSX mcap tiny by comparison, technically strong(via ISX), disruptive and looking to expand their digital ledger platform overseas.
Powerful people aren't always smart, that's why disruption happens and investors who understand that look for opportunities like NSX.
