You are right that the ASX and other regulators are generally pretty useless at looking out for small investors.

In reality its doubtful they even care. The stock market, especially these days, is largely used by insiders to take money from outsiders. Therefore any investor that thinks he is protected needs to have his head examined. The ASX will never really stop this sort of behaviour.

Having said that NKP management appears to be have been especially bad and I feel for shareholders (including myself) that have done their hard earned cash on this one.

Best we can do is spread what happened and make sure that the next venture this management tries to get going to get shareholder cash is held to much greater scrutiny.

All my opinion.
