I saw that 6 stocks are being added to the ASX200 index effective from 23rd of September. because the ETFs which track this index will all buy these stocks will it cause there price to go up and is it a good strategy to buy these stocks? maybe a stupid question but I am still learning about stock markets, I checked and 3 stocks were added to ASX in June and all went up after but haven't checked back further yet....
