I do not agree Kenneth that shooting people is a good deterent to Afghan asylum seekers. What they should get shot at either end of the journey?
People do need a positive place to go to. Afghanistan does not meet that criteria. It does drill into the core of the basic human right of being able to live free of persecution.
Sri Lanka, has a lot of promise. The Tamil want to injure Sinhalese by refusing to invest in their own country now, LTTE did likewise choosing weapons over food and education. Negativity breeds negativity. Tamils need to break that cycle. They are simply being self indulgent racists. Tamils in the Sinhalese dominated south have always enjoyed reasonably good protection. LTTE even purged their area in the north of Tamils who chose christian or muslim religion. We should not support one race, one relgion states.
