We have taken refugees into our home at our expense and it is an honour. What have you done besides cheer on the abuse?
Children traumatised by our government policies will need long term support, particularly if they are to be without family support mechanisms. The children in our home were with their parents. The family support was wonderful to see.
When we traumatise families by deliberate, brutal government policies, this support is so easily destroyed. Both major political parties are and fault here but the Liberals have taken a heartless Labor policy and turned it into something truly evil.
