    "Article 31 of the Refugee Convention clearly states that refugees should not be penalised for arriving without valid travel documents. What may be considered an illegal action under normal circumstances (e.g. entering a country without a visa) should not, according to the Convention, be considered illegal if a person is seeking asylum."

    You are allowed to have an opinion on their intentions, however this is not the issue.


    The government has a duty of care. They're in government detention centres for the 500th time.

    You are allowed to have your own opinions on what you think about asylum seekers and what their intentions are, but until a decision is made they're under the care of the government.

    This shouldn't be hard to grasp.
