The secrecy now surrounding the treatment of asylum seekers means that any ongoing, deliberate abuse of children is shielded from public view. The secrecy is part of deliberate government policy. We need to discover if abusing children is part of that deliberate government policy as well.
Responsibility is vested with the minister on this issue. It is Mr Morrison's responsibility to ensure children are not subject to deliberate abuse on his watch.
