This is not a rushed deal. The two companies have been in touch over a possible deal for quite some time and there have been more than a few suggestions for such a deal, as it seems to be a very good fit.

Both stocks a good buy, the risk of the deal not proceeding is low IMO. I already have quite a large holding in SLR anyway so I added IGR immediately after the merger announcement, bought at under 40c to get cheaper SLR shares.
Normally it would have taken me longer to digest merger deals but this one took me less than 30 minutes to make up my mind. The selldown in SLR after deal announcement was a window to buy in cheap again either via SLR or via IGR, again. If there were still lingering cautions regarding SLR's growth paths the merger deal lowered SLR's risk quite a bit thus further removed my caution.
