There is no doubt that the USA Auto Industry has to reinvent itself and adapt to a market that demands more efficient cars. But in this process more focus will be on hybrid cars which in fact use more platinum over time.
When the global government stimulus packages start to gain traction then pessimism will subside and optimism will slowly return and a new cycle will begin.
PLA at 40c is a bargain particularly whebn you consider timing and financing of projects. Kalplats will only be a factor from a production point of view in two years time.
