"can it be done". .... yep mighty bloomin' difficult to achieve imo. rather than banning kids I think its better/easier maybe to ensure that SM sites employ moderators to manage posters as HC does here.
kids need protection from those who would abuse them. kids will generally play happily together, maybe a little spitefully at times, but mostly happily. its adults which seek to abuse others.
so the first course of action is to ensure there adequate protection for kids provided by the companies that run these sites.
