Well done Premier Andrews for introducing stage four restrictions for Melbourne and stage three for the rest of Victoria in a bid to combat the coronavirus pandemic now running rampant and possibly out of control in the state.

the tighter restrictions come as the daily number of new CV cases in the state continue at an unacceptably high level. More or less demanding that Andrews further tighten the screws.

his actions have been criticized by industry groups and extreme conservatives who wrongly and stupidly believe an economy can operate without people.

Andrews actions hopefully will be matched by the federal govt introducing paid sick leave for everyone testing positive to CV.

IT's fairly obvious that in the gig economy so beloved by extreme conservatives that casual employees simply don't have the personal savings to tide them over in the event they are sick with CV.

So they have to go to work and whether they like it or not spread CV even wider.

sick leave is available to full time employee to prevent them cross infecting fellow employees. It's about time this was extended to all employees, including casuals.

andrews is to be congratulated for introducing near curfew conditions into Melbourne in the face of the ever expanding pandemic and criticism from paid tongues of News Corpse and their fringe dwelling demographic who slavishly lap up whatever policy dregs the media 'heroes' throw their way.

clearly, the situation demanded strong action and Victoria is lucky enough to have a premier that delivers.
