I remember Rudd1 initiating an 'enquiry' into Churches, many of which today look more like 'for profit' Corporations and that taxation should be considered.
Rudd stated that in particular Sydney's "Hillsong" was a stand-out and records showed a 2006 income of $65million and less than 3% going to 'charitable works'.
The enquiry disappeared and nothing further was heard .. funny that !!
