CenturyLink just got USD$3 billion to bring high-speed internet...

    CenturyLink just got USD$3 billion to bring high-speed internet services to approximately 1.2 million rural households and businesses in 33 states.  Simple maths suggests that the funding per household can accommodate the expense of the fixed wireless solution.

    NTC said in their latest presentation that they had 3 opportunities in the US.  Those opportunities could be AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and CenturyLink as they appear to be the biggest in the US.  Given that

    "Once CenturyLink's CAF II six-year build-out plan is finalized over the coming months, construction is expected to begin in early 2016."

    We will know by the end of the year if NTC is involved in this.

    I am hoping the other major carriers make similar announcements later today.
