It's not negative bias. It is factual. With respect, you are gambling in possible outcomes, not what is right In front of you, which is fine, I've done that myself. I don't do it anymore as the odds are stacked against you. I don't like paying an unwarranted premium when it is obvious I can get in cheaper. Yes, I agree, it will inevitably recover and when it does people who buy in at 3.5 will see much, much better returns than those that bought high and floundered in a paper loss for months. It is obviously difficult to know a good entry for any stock. But sometimes, just sometimes it is crystal clear. We just have completly different investment strategies. Good day
