I agree with much of your summation.
We have turned from punters to stake holders.imo

Stowaway..sorry to be different and our stakes may also be different..Its a tricky thing to discuss the range of topics involved and yet still be tolerant.

If anyone is interested ...the AFR is peppered with news about naked short selling..US SEC are going to clamp down on it...GREAT..and hows this for a statement to put you off trading..
"The SEC is said to be concerned that stock lenders, including the prime brokerage departments of investment banks, are lending out the same stock over and over again to different stock borrowers, compounding the impact of short selling on some out-of-favour financial stocks."
Terrible state of affairs, imo.

When one company you have a stake in goes down theres a lot to learn about the related reasons and market conditions.
I like to research why but the interaction on HC really helps understand many positions. imo.
