Charlie gets offended by my "philosophy" which is to look at the business not the shareprice? Then argues I am not doing that?

Yes these are the basics if you fail investing 101 then you are doomed to poor results. This is more valuable to everyone on these forums than my recommendation to buy or sell securities (which I don't provide for free).
I don't tell adults what to do.

Shorting is legitimate and unfairly maligned (criticised). I just don't care if people are shorting stocks I own, except I want to know why in case it's a fraud. It can from time to time lead to a bargain but this is NOT a game for amateurs, what I read on these threads gives me a lot of concern.

Othertimes, when I am shorting a worthless company people are tragically averaging down on the long side until they lose a packet.

You guys are playing with live ammunition. Get the basics/philosophy right, should you really be picking stocks or just diversifying?

I will carry on with unpopular truths but agree with Charlie, it's just howling to the wind. Looks like another wave of cannon fodder rushing the ramparts :s
