I'm looking at Metalica as a long stock just from (its 32% shareholding in Cape Alumina because of the bauxite side of this stock & it looks like a real go'er, the downside is and has been the publicity & emotion stirred up by the battle being fought over part of the Pisolite Hills project). I read this http://www.thewest.com.au/aapstory.aspx?StoryName=547293 & if what their CEO has to say is true & the facts on their website are true also, the 2 parties should be able to co-exist & operate to a mutual benefit (looking at the jobs that will be created for the local community & economic stimulous the mining will bring and Terri's push to keep the area's of concern out of bounds, seems pretty simple to me). I mean come on people, sit down & work it out. If this is resolved sooner rather than being dragged out over many years, then I see both these stocks being very good buys (& I'm not even taking into account Metalica's own tenements that look very attractive).
I've got a small holding under 5K of Metalica shares but am looking to increase my exposure more. Good luck all
