The gold price is actually not getting hammered in AUD terms, as the price is still above $2400 AUD per oz.
In regards to the drop yesterday in USD, it hit a low of $1745, but has so far recovered to around the $1760 mark.
Obviously the drop wasn't great, but is pretty much on the long term trend / support, so not catastrophic.
