any additional load on an electricity grid is supplied by the most marginal station.....this is fossil fuels, gas or coal. are electric cars really green? only on a totally renewable grid does the electric car truely make sense. once reality hits home about this issue the petrol powered car wont seem so bad. i dont believe the world can build renewable powerstations fast enough to cope with the uptake of electric vehicles suggested by some. are we really going to burn coal to power our green cars? doesnt make sense to me
