Interesting point though about the Malaysian Gov.
I mean if you step back a bit,its quite a huge issue.
If this was a Nuclear plant project..after Fukushima..it would be getting world headlines.
The Nuclear story..we and the world know the story.
BUT.
This is ,without trying to sensationalise,the Birth of a New industry.
3 Issues.
Governments...Regulations...Control.
The Malaysian Gov. is acutely aware of the focus they are under from other Gov.s.
More so from Gov,s most dependent on REO,s.
If this is the birth of an industry..It needs a baby.
We know there is production in Russia,India,Estonis..Silmet..which is a niche market anyway..then MCP mining tailings..so there is only one obvious candidate to be the ligitimate baby.
The World demands a baby.
Regulation.
China,Bukit,fantastic,all the worst is there to look at.
Once you know the worst,Regulations ,Standards,can be implimented.
China is already working on a Price Cartel,so this and regulations evolve to come under some control as most other commodities.
What im saying is that ..balnce out the pressure the Malaysian Gov, is getting globally,compared to a motely ill informed emotional village prehistoric group convinced they will die a painfull death.
No contest.
Notice the sneaky little bits of positive info coming out..Rmb 300m..already spent by new chemical companies built at Gebeng who will supply the Acids...this is part of rmd 3.4 b..already invested in spin offs.
So if they stuff up LYC with delays..they also stuff up rmb 3.4 b of spin off Business.(I still dont think lunch bars are included :).
