    Woot, NG Biotech making strides

The Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) has just ordered 100,000 serological tests from NG Biotech. The company's screening solution based in Guipry (35) appeals to hospitals and public authorities.

Big order for NG Biotech. The Breton specialist in biotechnology will deliver 100,000 serological tests to the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP). The first units were shipped in early May. "We are proud that our solutions are integrated into the arsenal of tools deployed by the AP-HP to protect patients and caregivers engaged on the front line against Covid-19," said Milovan Stankov Pugès, P- CEO and co-founder of NG Biotech, in a press release.

This "all in one" device consists of a serological strip test which allows, in just 15 minutes, to determine if a person has been in contact with the coronavirus. These NG-Tests have, in particular, convinced the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA), which reports to the Ministry of the Armed Forces, which has signed a contract worth up to one million euros .

3 to 4 million tests per month

Orders are increasing for the company based in Guipry (35). It thus delivered 15,000 tests to the Rennes University Hospital, intended for 13,000 nursing staff and 2,000 patients, as part of a partnership with the Nominoë fund. “The company has received firm orders from the Brittany region (100,000 units) and the Ille-et-Vilaine department (20,000 units) and has been selected to integrate the purchasing platform set up by the region Ile-de-France for carrying out 5 million Covid-19 tests ”, specifies NG Biotech.

To meet demand, the Breton biotech is in full development. Its second production site has been delivered and will be operational in the coming weeks. "Our test production capacity will reach two million units per month by July and will be able to adapt, depending on demand, to rise to three to four million units per month before the end of 2020", announces Milovan Stankov Pugès. "In this context of gradual deconfinement, the high demand for our solutions demonstrates the interest of serology and our rapid tests, for screening and monitoring the immunity of the populations most exposed to Covid-19, to start by the nursing staff ”.
